thoughts:rock and metal hairstyles.part 1
one should be ashamed to even think that hairstyles are just rockers and metalheads fashion trends.the styles i'm gonna talk about influence the way they play their music drastically.truth be told,its actually the hair that writes the music.note that i'll only be talking bout hairstyles concerning rock and metal.so i won't touch no nigga shit braided hairstyles.although some may find these hairstyles in some bands.
*the hairstyles are not necessarily practiced by all band members of a genre.its just a general hairstyle for a genre(s).so fuck off if u think i'm wrong and shit.coz this is just my opinion.its my blog.but if there are constructive comments, then ur disagreement will be taken into consideration.
i'll get this post started with a hairstyle i would call....
"straight to the end"
its a hairstyle for metal artist. this hairstyle is meant to be straight and long enough till surpassing the collar bone. such hairstyles aplies to symphonic metal,melodic death metal,metalcore,thrash metal or any some sort of deep enough for "commercialize listeners" metal genres. eg. children of bodom,bullet for my valentine,northern kings and etc.u gotta need that long straight hair to shred some kickass solos.its alright if u don't have this hairstyle as there are other alternatives that allows u to shred awsumly.

"2 inch curl"
this hairstyle applies mostly on rock and roll genre.bands like ac/dc, airbourne, and etc. it should not be misunderstood that this hairstyle applies to the rock and roll in british or british rock.full perm must be done in other to get it curled from the roots.
moving on ....
"glammullet"
now the name derives from the original name of the hairstyle called mullet along with the rock genre that is widely played everywhere during the 80's. glam rock bands are like mr. big, twisted sister, you know the ones that u listen to when ur a kid and ur dad is driving. yea those shit.
aite with all the long hair shit i've shown you, i guess it would be time i show u some of the short hairstyles of rock ....
"inivisible hair"
now this applies more towards rock than metal.but again this is one of the general hairstyles of rock. in the metal genre, u just gotta have long hair to head band and shred.bald rockers are usually the singers themselves and most of them don't play guitar while singing.not that they can't, its just the rule of invisible hair. guys who own such hairstyle are the guy from staind, that guy from disturbed and chester bennington(once or a couple of times from linkin park)
talking about linkin park, i have to write to a lil bout the raprock/nu metal hairstyle....
"nu metal spikes"
when u talk about rap rock and the band that is making noise during the early millenium, u talk about linkin park. other rap rock bands might have a lil airtime on their own BUT they can't stand up just like the way lp did.even chinese people that listens to chinese pop songs likes lp coz they are the new definition of awesomeness.majority of the guys from lp has this kinda short straight spiked up hairstyle in their early days and so are other bands like crazytown, limpbizkit, papa roach and etc. this hairstyle however is short lived just like the genre itself.
goin back to long hairstyles....

unlike the 2 inch curl, this hairstyle proves to be more messy,fuzzy and curly than the one in the rock and roll genre.this curl applies to metal genre instead of rock.guys like kirk hammet, matt heafy and slash are good examples. i guess its curlier to help shredding and making heavier music. applies mostly in heavy metal,thrash metal and hard rock.
if at this point ur thinking about picking a rock or a metal hairstyle but u don't like anything that is too long or too short, then not to worry as there are medium long length hairstyles too.
"findin' emo"
this hairstyle as can be seen, isn't too short or too long according to the standard rock and metal hairtsyles.just like the name, u can't really find any bands that calls themselves emo. eventhough their whole fuckin image,lyrics, expressions during videos are emo-like. bands that have emo hairs are 30 seconds to mars,the academy is,bless the fall and etc.found in post hardcore,punk,screamo genres.
i gotta talk bout this hairstyle coz first of all it plays a huge part in a particular rock genre, and secondly, kai tick would've bitch me off the whole day if i don't include this.....
"visual kei"
i specifically place a picture of a pioneer of visual kei.hide of x japan. the early days of visual kei are most fitting for me, coz they just don't try to be beautiful like the jrock bands of today.beautiful as in like trying be a drag queen beautiful.i once saw a guy wearing this whole long blouse.what the fuck is he thinking man?x japan didin't want u guys to be drag queens.i guess the message was spread wrongly after the band disbanded.eversince that, practially every jrock band practices it.though the lead singer of x japan has abandoned his visual kei roots after reuniting with his band mates.
with the long hair shit, its time to write about a more skin revealing hairstyle.i give to you...
....wait until part 2.there's just way too much hairstyle and i got too fuckin lazy to write.
